Avoid additional volume and detail at the bust, and don’t hide your waistline – show it off to create shape and definition below your bust.

Wide Scoop Necks and V-Necks break up the chest area and create an open space between the chin, neck and bust.

Wrap Tops and Wrap Dresses are perfect for dividing and separating the bust and pulling in the waist to define your shape.

Choose long coats with a full skirt, neat waist and narrow lapels to elongate the body and give shape at the waist without adding additional bulk to the chest area.

Don’t be afraid! A bigger bottom will look smaller in tighter fitting clothes – rather than being hidden under swathes of fabric.

Loose fitting or wide leg trousers hang away from the bottom – giving a smooth line rather than cupping the buttocks.

Neat, slimline jackets cover the body whilst giving a straight silhouette.

Pencil skirts give a ‘corset’ effect – holding everything in whilst discreetly showing it off.

Flared skirts that kick out from the thighs create shape below your bottom rather than on it.

A tailored dress, like a pencil skirt, gives control to your shape whilst showing off your curves.

Being pear-shaped is the most common complaint of all! Carrying extra weight on the side of the hips can make finding trousers and skirts that fit and look good difficult – but don’t despair help is at hand…

Start with a shorter, fitted sweater or jersey on top – clean lines will keep your top looking slim and a hem that finishes above the waist will give shape and definition to the area.

Wide leg trousers will hang from the side of your hips straight down, rather than shaping around hem.

A-line skirts of any length are perfect as they glide over the hips and continue flaring outwards discreetly covering the hip area.

As with skirts, an A-line coat with a neat waist and flared hem will give shape above the hips and create a flattering line below them – giving an elegant silhouette.
